TYPE 13 cylinder valves are packing valves designed primarily for chlorine applications. They can be used for operating pressures up to 25 bar, in green zinc-coasted steel, for all types of inlet and outlet Ø25,4x3,175W.

The design and manufacture of Type 13 guarantee optimum safety in use. The Type 13 body is made of steel treated to achieve an impact strength of 50J/cm² at -40°C. To guarantee this level of resilience, all production batches are subjected to an impact bending test (Charpy test). The Type 13 needle piston remains in the closed position until the handwheel is opened more thant a quarter turn. What's more, should the handwheel no longer allow the needle piston to close, it can be closed instantly with a simple shock (e.g. a hammer).

Last but not least, the advantage of having a packing valve lies in its ability ti stop any leak simply by tightening the stuffing box, thus ensuring a simple and effective solution to the problem.
